Inverted Kirin
Medium: digital inversion of a traditional piece
Hey guys, was trying out a friend's advice on helping me with my contrast problems (for those that may not have noticed, one of my MAJOR weaknesses is providing strong contrast in my work. I tend to use bright colors to hide the fact that they're all in the same tone. Lights and darks evade me constantly).
So she suggested I throw it into photoshop with a filter that blocks it out all in inverted black and white. So all the darks are white and the whites are black. It throws your brain for a loop and REALLY lets you see when you aren't using very good contrast. I put this picture in on a whim and thought it looked kind of nifty, so I'm uploading to share with you guys.
