Violet
Medium: watercolor and colored pencils
This was done for the 'mushroom peddler handbook'. The violet is a delicate little perennial, often used for edging, ground cover under trees and in rock gardens.
They grow from 2 to 12 inches in hight, and are most fond of partial shade. The flowers will bloom in late winter to midsummer and fall.
