Gallery | Tulip Medium: watercolor and colored pencils Well it's spring again, and time to start thinking about our gardens and planting. However time and again I see the same mistake happening, people not taking into account the temperment of their plants when planning their gardens. So today I'd like to talk about the tulip. When planting your bulb, please remember how fragile the young tulip is. Others of her kind are fine to plant near her, but her roots are very delicate and passive. She won't be able to fight for her place in the garden. Make sure to weed thoroughly around her, the little vicious imps that like to place their own seeds in the fertile gardens delight in taking down the more fragile and tall tulips before they can bloom. Lots of sunlight, fresh water and tender care will result in a flower that will give you all the love she has for as long as she has. It's well worth the extra care needed. Happy gardening.
