Velveteen

This is a late (very late, I suck) birthday present for Silvy. Silvy's been having a lot of problems with a stalker lately. Some freak that goes around and pretends to *be* her, opening up galleries, my space things, etc. It's really creepy in a horrible way.
So Silvy. This is for you.
It doesn't matter what that person does. It doesn't matter how many galleries they open, how many times they try to pretend to be you. They're always going to fail, and we're always going to know it's not you.
There's a children's story called 'the velveteen rabbit'... in it there's a fairy that takes toys that have been loved, brought joy to the children's lives and served well, and she makes them real. Just like that fae, you've got the ability to make things real hun. It sounds cheesy, and it probably is, but there's something magical about your worlds, drawings, and general personality that makes you unique and completely incapable of being duplicated. Though maybe you're more like the toys, bringing joy to people... but I couldn't bring myself to draw a silvy bunny rabbit.
Maybe that's why I always end up drawing you fairies instead of doing the fanart of your boys *grin*
