Hey all, it's time for an update.

I'm back from LTUE and finally able to get into the groove of all the work I need to get done. This is my first time running a personal blog, so I'm not quite sure what I want to say or how often I want to say things, but I'll try to keep it pretty on topic.

So first I want to talk about the latest project, 78 Tarot. This project is rather near and dear to my heart, as I was part of the first deck with my 4 of pentacles card, and I learned a lot about myself as an artist in the progress. I'm returning this time around with the queen of pentacles card, and again I find that I am learning more and more about myself as both an artist and a person, when I really question my motives behind everything I paint.

This card is packed with meaning. Absolutely packed. And I found that a lot of the symbolism really resonated with me deep down in my gut, so I was incredibly happy to have this card. I tried to stay true to the original symbolism, while also giving my own take on the meaning of the card, so that tarot was respected even though it is not something I personally believe in. But I found a lot of value in the idea of the card and what it represented. Regardless of what point you are in your life, the lessons of keeping a cool head, looking before you leap and taking things calmly and at a comfortable pace are invaluable. Overall I wanted this card to feel serene, a place that you could be safe and comfortable going to when you need someone to watch over you. A person you could trust, no matter how alien her world might be. I hope I accomplished that.

I am only able to give you a small sneak peak of the card, though it is completed now. If you were at LTUE you were one of the lucky few to view the original before ANYONE else except for those on the 78 tarot project. If you will be at CONduit this year, you will also get a chance at a sneak peak before the deck is released for sale. So .. exciting times my friends! Exciting times!
